High-Technology

BlueGreen Farms is a commercial high-technology driven agricultural operation on New York’s Long Island that integrates state-of-the-art hydroponic greenhouse systems (for growing vegetables) with cutting edge aquaculture systems (for raising edible fish) through a green technology known as aquaponics.

Highly Successful

BlueGreen Farms is modeled after highly successful aquaponic operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. Aquaponics is a fast-growing segment of urban farming and is widely recognized for its eco-friendly practices, high quality products, high yield per square foot of land, and excellent profit margins.

Product Variety

Products cultivated at BlueGreen Farms will include varieties of tomatoes, tilapia, hybrid striped bass, sturgeons; processed products include fish fillets and caviar from sturgeons; along with fish byproducts such as animal feed additives, Omega 3 fish oil and proteins. BGF anticipates farming lettuce and other vegetables as side crops.

Establishing Operations

BlueGreen Farms is commencing operations in Brookhaven, NY (60 miles from Manhattan).
